North Shore Family Photography - The Noon Family

When this toddler's parents referred to his vest as his "Stranger Things vest" I knew we would hit it off. Appleton Farms in Ipswich was the perfect setting for their fall family photos. Kristin is the Director of The Wenham Museum, a local treasure on the North Shore. (my kids love it!), and Elliot had me laughing the entire time. Great to meet you, Noon family!

In home newborn photo session: The Kennedy Family

One of my new favorite things to do is in home sessions. I love capturing families where they are, how they are. There is something so special about it, so natural. When you invite me into your home, know that I am a mom too. The pile of toys, the newborn peeing/pooping, nursing, diapers, meltdowns...  it's all part of the process and doesn't bother me in the least.

This family welcomed sweet Anna about one week before this shoot. Big sister was very excited (and bribed with some special snacks). We had a fun morning together and captured some special moments.

North Shore family photography: The Gaither Family at Appleton Farms

I first met Shannon at a birthday party, where I was taken with her adorable toddler twins. Since then, I have photographed their family every year in the fall, and it has been a joy to watch them grow! We met up at Appleton Farms in Ipswich, MA for this family photo session. Shannon is now the editor of North Shore Macaroni Kid , which is a great resource for parents and caregivers!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many images will I receive?  Each session is unique, so I don't set a number of images you will receive. An average session will usually yield approximately 10 images.

What should we wear? I suggest that you wear coordinating, but not necessarily matching colors. Shirts with graphic designs, logos or sayings are not advised. Choosing a color palate of 3-4 colors works well. Keep in mind the farm is very GREEN. Colors like maroon, plum, navy, grey work well. Wearing red (as seen above), can work well and gives an additional Christmas feel. Feel free to bring accessories like hats, scarves, or mittens. Usually, having some people in solid colors works well so that it's not a sea of patterns. Please do not wear a solid black top, as it makes for a "floating head" effect. Let me know if you need more help with figuring out what to wear. Here's a great blog post on the topic from Click it Up a Notch.

Can we bring our dog? Yes! Well behaved dogs are allowed on the farm, on leash only.

Will you have a "set"? I do bring a simple set for a few posed photos. My style tends to lean more towards lifestyle shots- I love capturing you interacting with your children!

What's the farm like? It's beautiful! It is a family owned, working Christmas tree farm. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Crane Beach Family Photos: The Annese Family

Late this summer, I met up with the Annese family at Crane Beach in Ipswich. It was fun to see the children again- they've grown so much since I saw them for their holiday photos last year! For beach mini sessions, I like to do some casual posed photos at the beginning, and then let the kids play. It makes for a relaxed family photo session, and tends to capture some sweet moments!

Crane Beach Family Photos: The Colellas

The Colellas are an incredibly kind family. Their son, Carlo, is so smart and has a great sense of humor! We had so much fun together at Crane Beach in Ipswich. Being a mom, I know family photo sessions can be stressful; I'm there to help alleviate the stress and make things fun!
